I would want it no other way..

Christmas with my family... I would want it no other way.

I just wanted to give you a small peak into my family Christmas. While some family's open there presents at exactly midnight, other family's open only one the night before. Me and my loved ones are all about one night of fun!!! We open all of our presents on Christmas Eve.

Zep & Vannessa... Looking at the dreaded childhood photos. LOL So is there anyone that looks good in there childhood photo's?

Scout and my sister getting ready for the onslaught of the nights events. Each of them needed the nap after a wonderful meal, and to get them both ready for all the gifts. My sister, Scout and Skylee out did them self's this year they brought a whole new meaning to it is better to give than receive.

Here is me any my brother acting a fool in the Mall.

And to me this is what the holidays are truly all about.. to see the joy in someone eyes when the open that gift, is truly a blessing.

Rapper who put Pittsburgh on hip-hop map coming to GJ

By Samantha Stiles

Thursday, December 11, 2008

He calls himself Wiz because that’s what people kept telling him, that he’s smart beyond his years, a whiz kid.

Hip-hop artist Wiz Khalifa, 20, writes some racy and profane lyrics, but he is an articulate speaker.

Khalifa, along with two acts from Denver, Black Prez and Livest Vibe, are providing the musical entertainment at the TreStylez.com fashion show at Mesa Theater and Club on Friday, Dec. 12.

Khalifa rose from a pocket-size hip-hop scene in Pittsburgh, and became the rapper that gave the city its rap identity, he said.

“Really, it’s fortunate for me to be in this situation,” he said.

His break has given other performers from Pittsburgh a chance to step up, he said.

“I’m living proof anyone can make it as an entertainer.”

After releasing his indie album “Show and Prove,” Warner Bros. Records signed him, and Rolling Stone magazine called him a “New Artist to Watch” in 2007. More publicity followed and his Internet presence has grown exponentially. Khalifa releases short videos on YouTube on a regular basis.

“I feel like my whole career has been a forward progression,” he said.

Currently, he’s riding out the success of his radio hit “Say Yeah,” recording new music and releasing some of it on mix tapes. The release date for his new CD has been pushed back, but he’s optimistic that time will only make his work better.

Sponsoring the Khalifa show is urban streetwear Internet distributor TreStylez.com, based out of Denver. The founders of the Web site are from the Grand Valley.

Isiah Otero, a representative of the Web site, said the company’s goal is to bring a new sound to western Colorado, as well as a different level of fashion.

TreStylez.com sought Khalifa for the show because he’s “hip, young and fresh,” Otero said. “He goes along well with the site.”

Rob's Run - Daily run

Wednesday, September 3, 2008

I guess I am a name dropper.

This long weekend made me feel like I was back in LA.

The weekend started out with me on a date Friday night we went out for Sushi and who should walk in but Lance Bass (‘N Sync & Gay Fame) and Jamie-Lynn Sigler (Sopranos) I also noticed Alfonso Riberior (Fresh Prince), Joey Fatone (Dancing w/the Stars) and played a few hands of cards with Elton Brand (Kind of hard not to notice him standing at 6ft 8in). I later found out from another woman that I meet (yes that was the end of that date and the start of another date) that they were in town for an opening of a club.

Saturday was a day of just hanging around the pool. And just incase you were wondering yes Mexican folks do sun burn.

Saturday night was fight night
This was kind of cool.. being at a fight ring side (third row.. didn’t want first or second.. didn’t want blood on me). I would have gone just to people watch, the fans, the music, the noise, the chants (“NO AQUI” – For any non-Puerto Rican fighter), the fights in and outside the ring. Just non-stop head turning.

Sunday was a day of exploration Old San Juan and searching for Mexican candy (De Leche). I found the candy (sorry no pictures, I ate it to fast, don't tell my mom).

Monday I played golf at Dorado.

One of the nicest golf courses I have played. Not just saying that cuz I scored well.. just 4 over.

Weekend in Puerto Rico

I started off the weekend on Friday night at Lupe’es for some drinks with some co-workers and then I was off to go play. Yes if you can believe that telecommunications engineers are too dorky to hang out with. LOL

El San Juan Hotel

My original idea was go people watch… and the last time I was in PR me and a friend Perry did a ton of “People Watching” there. The EL San Juan hotel is famous for its live music and dancing. I was invited to dance salsa, and I am proud to say I only stepped on her toes a few times. LOL After dancing, and drinking I moved on to the casino..normally this would be a bad thing considering the drinking. But I will say this I won enough at the casino to pay for all my Christmas gifts (for this year and next year).

Saturday, as you can imagine was a sleep in day as I did not get in really late / early however want to look at it. But I did take the bus to Old San Juan (I do not recommend the bus to anyone). Got something to eat at Barrachina (Birthplace of the PiƱa Colada) what I was eating was Mofongo.

Sunday was just a quite day in the park listing to some great music.

All in All a good weekend.

It's offical my Brother and Sister are having a BlueBerry

Well the news is now offical my Brother and Sister are having a baby (Blueberry).

I am sticking to my guns and saying that the babie making magic happened while they were on vaction at my house in Seattle.

Wishing my brother and sister all the best!!

It's a good thing family is always there to pick you up.LOL

Let me start off by saying I love my brother Ethan and I thought this was funny as all get out.

So I am driving two thousand miles in two days (yes crazy I know.. but that is for another blog). I stop off in Loveland, Co to say hi and visit my brother E.

And and after 12 hours of driving what dose my brother suggest we do? Go play basketball!!! WTH Now, yes I am a grown man and I could have said "No way" but I didn't so the results were to say the least poor. I did scored twice... and by twice I mean twice in two games of 11 by ones. LMAO Below is where I got my butt handed to me and who that did the handing. LOL

Teach them well and they can fish for a life time. LOL

This is from Carol / Leo and it had, okay still has me rolling so hard I almost pee'ed myself.

OK, so Leo had never seen the "L" thing before Robbie showed up. Robbie leaves on Sunday. That evening, we take Leo out to dinner. He starts saying that the waitress is his girlfriend. He's jumps out of the booth waiting for her to come back and he wants to take a picture with her (with his little Fisher Price camera that we brought along for him to play games with). We tell him that he really needs to relax and play it cool. He leans against our table and says, "like this?", and puts the big 'L' on his forehead. She comes and he asks her to take a picture with him and he does the 'L' thing. She says, "Are you calling me a loser?" I said that he was only calling himself one but that he was really a winner. So he and the waitress decided that they're both winners
